Top SchoolConor Malone is a seasoned software engineer with over a decade of experience building scalable, maintainable and performant web applications across advertising, mobile gaming, telecoms and ecommerce. He has driven front-end strategy and delivery at companies like Shopify (Staff Engineer, Growth) and eBay, leading cross-team guilds, replatforms to React SSR and end-to-end launches that materially reduced costs and improved retention. Conor combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership—running frontend guilds, leading migrations to TypeScript/PWA, and managing small engineering teams. He’s an active open-source contributor, notably enhancing the popular react-data-grid with selection features, docs and improved test/build pipelines. Based in London and educated in electronic engineering and interactive digital media, he brings a pragmatic focus on best practices and measurable business impact. Less obvious: he repeatedly excels at turning strict deadlines into lasting platform improvements that reduce operational costs by orders of magnitude.
