Top SchoolCorbin Taylor is a Senior Software Engineer with a decade of experience building cloud-native, serverless microservices in Go, Node.js, Python and Java, currently focused on debit systems at Capital One. He played a key engineering role in Capital One’s Discover debit rollout and has a track record of shipping greenfield services as well as migrating legacy systems. Prior to tech, he pursued astrophysics doctoral research at the University of Maryland, where he wrote scientific software to model black hole X-ray spectra—an unusual background that informs his analytical approach to complex engineering problems. Corbin enjoys mentoring and teaching programming, advocates for diversity in STEM, and keeps a hands-on mindset from research to production. Outside work you'll often find him reading, listening to music, or coding from a local coffee shop.
