Top SchoolCraig Deforest is a senior director who designs and scales custom learning and partnership programs that align industry talent needs with applied research, currently leading Custom Programs at Academic Programs International. With 13 years of experience across higher education, international exchange, and workforce development, he has a strong track record of creating revenue-generating B2B programs and optimizing sales operations through CRM and process improvements. At Northeastern’s Roux Institute he built cross-sector collaborations in healthcare, construction, fintech, and supply chain to translate employer problems into research and training solutions. He repeatedly delivered rapid revenue wins and contract renewals by integrating proposition development with global operations—skills honed during his leadership at CIEE where he grew portfolios and exceeded targets. Based in Boulder, Craig combines program strategy with hands-on project management and a curiosity for data-driven decision making; he also brings an unexpected background in heliophysics coding that speaks to his analytical range.
