Summary

Senior🎓
Top SchoolDaan Reid is a development team lead with 15 years of software engineering and technical leadership experience, currently guiding delivery at Elanza from Groningen. He blends an academic rigor—holding a PhD in computational modelling of fish hydrodynamics—with practical full‑stack expertise in TypeScript/React, Java/Spring, RDF/SPARQL and occasional Clojure and C#. At the University Medical Center Groningen he led prototyping, data-model architecture and meta-search projects (notably the ADDIS drug information work), proving fluency at the intersection of biomedical data and web platforms. Comfortable shifting between hands-on coding and team facilitation within holocratic structures, he’s as likely to sketch an abstract data model as to pair-program through a tricky SPARQL query. His background teaching C++ to biologists and building early web CMSs underlines a knack for translating domain science into usable software.
