Senior🎓
Top SchoolDan Cadden is a senior software engineer with 11 years of experience building high-performance backend services and reshaping platform infrastructure for rapidly growing product teams. Based in New York, he has led large migrations (notably Heroku to ECS) and is currently breaking a monolith into services using Kafka and modern tooling at Ro. He blends hands-on systems work—deployments, monitoring, developer tooling—with strong interpersonal skills, enabling cross-team collaboration and pragmatic solutions. Dan’s background spans fullstack roles, platform leadership, freelance consulting for academia and e-commerce, and a Recurse Center fellowship where he built a Go package manager. He contributes to personal projects and open source in his spare time and enjoys reducing developer friction through workflow improvements. Off the clock he’s an avid basketball player and Sixers fan, which reflects his team-first, energetic approach to engineering.
