Top SchoolDan Huddell is a Lead Software Engineer in Boston with 10 years of full‑stack experience building production-quality web applications across retail, SaaS, and healthcare. He combines strong front-end expertise in React/TypeScript and Next.js with pragmatic back-end skills in Node/Express and GraphQL, frequently improving performance and reliability (e.g., Next.js app-router migration and a materialized view reducing large-table queries to ~200ms). A hands-on tech lead and cross-functional collaborator, he spans scoping, mentoring, on-call reliability, and shipping measurable product outcomes like a 10% checkout lift and a multi-store Shopify automation that saved substantial effort. Notable for shipping independent, accessible features (in-app PPTX/PDF previewer) and designing fault-tolerant integration services, he favors user-first solutions and practical engineering tradeoffs.
