Summary
👤
SeniorDan Muey is a senior software engineer with over 20 years of experience specializing in backend systems, localization, and tooling, currently contributing at cPanel and as an active CPAN and open-source contributor. Rooted in a childhood curiosity for hardware, he brings deep conceptual expertise across Perl, C, Python, JavaScript, Linux/Unix, and CI/CD pipelines, favoring learning concepts over fixed technologies. At cPanel he pairs hands-on development with mentoring and occasional conference speaking on Unicode and localization, and he regularly contributes practical fixes and modules back to the community. Comfortable across web servers, REST APIs, RPM packaging, and IPv6, he also has working experience in Ruby, PHP, and Windows/.NET. Passionate about volunteering and projects that help others, he combines steady long-term stewardship of code with a pragmatic, concept-first engineering approach.
