Top SchoolDan Ortega is a product marketing leader with 20+ years of experience marrying enterprise software strategy with go-to-market execution, currently driving AI initiatives for Security Operations and Threat Intelligence at Anomali. He has led product marketing across expansion-stage and enterprise firms—shaping messaging, analyst relations, and GTM for portfolios spanning generative/agentic AI, NLP, RAG, SIEM, SOAR, TIP, and in-memory/streaming platforms. Known for translating complex technical capabilities into customer-focused value (notably in compliance, fraud detection, and attack surface management), he has repeatedly created new category narratives and enabled sales and partners to scale adoption. Dan blends product management chops from early roles with deep marketing leadership at companies like BMC, Hazelcast, and Oomnitza, giving him a rare fluency across roadmap, positioning, and demand generation. Based in Berkeley, he pairs a BA in Economics with an engineer-friendly mindset (also identified as a software engineer on GitHub), making him effective at bridging technical and commercial teams. Colleagues describe him as outcome-driven and analyst-savvy, able to turn emerging AI/security capabilities into compelling, market-ready offerings.
