Summary

Senior🎓
Top SchoolDaniel Burka is a veteran product and design leader with 18 years of experience founding and scaling mission-driven tech organizations. He co-founded Hard Problems to connect technologists with high-impact challenges in public health, climate, and governance, and led the widely used Simple.org open-source health platform at Resolve to Save Lives. His background spans startup exits and iconic teams—from co-founding Pownce and Milk (acquired by Google) to shaping design at Digg, Tiny Speck, and GV portfolio companies—bringing a rare blend of hands-on design, product strategy, and founder-level execution. Based in London, he also advises and volunteers on large-scale health initiatives like Our Future Health UK, applying product thinking to population-scale data problems. Less obvious: he pairs a humanities education in history with deep practical experience, which informs his focus on humane, systemic solutions rather than superficial features.
