Daniel Pacheco Gutierrez
Summary
👤
SeniorDaniel Gutierrez is a Lead Machine Learning Engineer based in Lausanne with 9 years of hands-on experience translating scientific problems into production ML systems, currently driving AI & Data Engineering at Atinary Technologies. He specializes in productionizing Bayesian optimization, building scalable benchmarking pipelines, and adding explainability to automated experiment planning systems used in real-world self-driving labs. With an M.Sc. in Computational Science and a B.Eng. in Chemical Engineering, he bridges domain knowledge in chemistry and biology with probabilistic ML to accelerate scientific discovery. Notably, he has delivered 10x faster algorithm benchmarking and helped automate lab protocols and DNA analysis pipelines that enabled orders-of-magnitude increases in throughput. Practical, research-minded, and client-facing, he combines R&D rigor with product-grade engineering to move cutting-edge algorithms from prototype to production.
