Senior🎓
Top SchoolDaniel Lahyani is a seasoned software engineer with 11 years of experience who builds extensible, well-architected systems and prefers lower-level technologies while embracing elegant abstractions. He transitioned from a decade in cybersecurity and low-level development into consumer mobile product infrastructure, leading backend teams and driving engineering and DevOps best practices at Lightricks before joining Foundational. Daniel has hands-on experience spanning serverless architectures, subscription and in-app purchase systems, CI/CD modernization, and security-minded design, often mentoring teams and setting technical standards. Based in Tel Aviv, he combines a hacker’s curiosity—rooted in assembly, C/C++ and reverse engineering—with product-focused backend leadership, making reliability and transparency priorities. A Hebrew University computer science graduate, he’s notable for shifting deep security expertise into scalable consumer-facing backend solutions.
