Top SchoolDaniel Ostapenko is a Frontend Architect with 11 years of experience designing and delivering high-performance web applications from Barcelona. He has progressed through senior and principal engineering roles into architecture leadership at Toptal, after driving growth and core product work at Typeform where his frontend-first full-stack approach helped unlock significant revenue gains. Daniel is fluent in modern JavaScript ecosystems (React, Redux, webpack, styled-components) and experienced with high-load, service-oriented architectures and backend stacks including PHP, Go and AWS. He combines hands-on optimization skills from payments and monitoring systems with team leadership and product-focused engineering, often bridging legacy codebases and modern frameworks. A mathematician by training (Master’s in Applied Math and CS), he brings analytical rigor to scalable UX and frontend architecture decisions. Despite his architectural focus, he remains an active builder who enjoys diving into the code to solve performance and integration challenges.
