👤
SeniorDaniele Rondina is a seasoned Linux and open-source engineer with 13 years of experience building infrastructure, embedded systems, and developer tooling from Turin, Italy. He founded the Macaroni OS Project to deliver a lightweight, customizable Linux distribution optimized for desktop, server, and container workflows, with special attention to LXD integration and lxd-compose. Daniele has a long track record contributing practical open-source solutions—authoring node-ebuilder to auto-generate Gentoo ebuilds and creating the rlm_sql_ocioracle FreeRADIUS driver to handle Oracle refcursors. His background spans telecom-grade M2M and APN platforms, OpenStack support, and middleware for high-availability systems, blending deep C/Linux expertise with Node.js, Java and scripting languages. He regularly turns repetitive build and integration tasks into automation that cuts effort by orders of magnitude, and his projects show a consistent focus on making complex systems easier to install and maintain.
