Senior🎓
Top SchoolDanny Verpoort is a Senior Platform Engineer with 11 years of hands-on experience designing platforms-as-products that prioritize developer experience over tool proliferation. He blends a background in PHP, Java and JavaScript with deep operational expertise in Kubernetes, Ansible and Terraform to bridge application development and infrastructure. At Gomibo | Belsimpel he established and now leads a platform team, building cross-cutting capabilities like auth, config management and an automated OpenAPI→API-gateway pipeline to standardize delivery. Danny favors pragmatic, API-first approaches—an outlook he championed previously by introducing OpenAPI-driven CI practices and speaking at the Dutch PHP Conference. He sharpens ideas in his homelab, validating platform patterns before production, and brings a practical, product-focused mindset to reducing developer friction and accelerating teams.
