Top SchoolDasuni Rathnayaka is a software engineer and early-career academic currently lecturing on contract at the University of Moratuwa while pursuing an MSc in Computer Science (Data Science Engineering and Analytics). With four years of experience and a Dean’s List BSc in IT, she built production features for Avantrio’s GPService healthcare platform—designing ERDs, secure role-based appointment workflows, and RESTful APIs using Django and DRF. She combines web front-end skills in React with backend expertise in Python, databases, Docker, and test automation, and applies ML and blockchain knowledge to research projects like an AI-powered personalized travel recommender. Comfortable moving between research and product code, she’s known for pragmatic, secure designs and an ability to deliver asynchronous workflows for real-world processes such as prescription handling. Outside of work she documents technical learnings through blogging and maintains an accessible portfolio and GitHub for collaborators.
