Top SchoolDavid Baker is a founder and data scientist who builds practical, revenue-generating analytics products for arts organizations—most recently launching Bolero, a bootstrapped B2B SaaS that turns ticketing CRM data into consultant-grade reports. With a PhD in music cognition and a decade of experience across academia and industry, he blends Bayesian modeling, R/Python tooling, and product-minded engineering to deliver dashboards, parameterized reports, and reproducible pipelines. He runs a data science consultancy (Redgranite Group) that has produced churn BI, music search tools, and scientific consulting for commercial partners, and has assessed over 100 master's-level apprenticeships to UK standards. A specialist in music perception and computational audio, he has published interdisciplinary work (including a Cell coauthorship) and has built R packages and ETL pipelines for large-scale music labs. Based in Portland, Maine, he pairs rigorous research practice with pragmatic product delivery and a knack for turning academic code into usable SaaS.
