Top SchoolDavid Falta is a Geospatial Data Engineer in Boston with nine years of experience blending physics, data science, and hands-on systems work to deliver reliable spatial data pipelines for government and academic environments. With an MS in Physics and an ALM in Data Science from Harvard Extension School, he translates complex scientific problems into production-ready code, parallelized algorithms, and automated server workflows. His background spans web and Drupal development, server administration, and help-desk support, giving him rare full-stack operational fluency from desktop support to cloud-hosted services. At the City of Boston he progressed from Junior Data Engineer to Geospatial Data Engineer, applying rigorous research habits from supernova modeling to municipal data challenges. Colleagues rely on his mix of scientific rigor and practical engineering—he’s as comfortable tuning a Linux VM or GIS stack as he is analyzing large datasets with MATLAB and visualization tools.
