Top SchoolDavid Hinkes is a Senior Engineering Manager with 17 years of experience leading complex software projects at Google and earlier system-level engineering roles at Boeing and Cornell's AUV program. He blends deep technical expertise in machine learning, signal processing, and networked software architectures with pragmatic Linux and web technology skills to deliver production-grade systems. Comfortable both in research-adjacent environments and large-scale product organizations, he has a track record of turning academic-grade algorithms into operational services. Based in Santa Monica, he favors roles where the line between work and play is blurred, reflecting a hands-on leadership style that mentors engineers while staying technically engaged. An MS in Computer Science from USC and early embedded/robotics experience underpin his ability to bridge low-level signal problems and cloud-native solutions.
