Top SchoolDavid Kerns is an independent consultant, designer, and advisor based in Copenhagen with 14 years of experience shaping digital products at the intersection of visual storytelling and technical implementation. He specializes in editorial design for newspapers and magazines, blending typography, photography, and code to make complex, highly visual content easier to understand and more enjoyable to consume. As a hands-on practitioner he designs, codes, and produces websites and applications, while also providing concept development, creative and technical direction, and quality assurance. Over a decade of work with Scandinavian publishers and ongoing collaboration with startups has made him adept at guiding projects from idea through testing and deployment. He often serves as project owner or stakeholder, bringing a pragmatic mix of design sensibility and platform development know-how. Outside client work, he’s known for pairing editorial craft with product-minded engineering to solve content challenges that many teams overlook.
