Senior🎓
Top SchoolDavid Little is a neuroscientist with 11 years of experience translating large-scale EEG and auditory psychophysics data into clinically relevant biomarkers for neuropathology at Beacon Biosignals. He combines a PhD in Communication Sciences and Disorders with an MS in Computer Science to bridge cognitive neuroscience, signal processing, and machine learning in auditory scene analysis. His postdoctoral work at Johns Hopkins and UNLV focused on computational models of hearing, and he brings practical software engineering skills evidenced by contributions to JuliaPackaging/Yggdrasil for building multimedia libraries. Based in Baltimore, he pairs rigorous research with hands-on automation and build engineering, a blend that helps move neurophysiological discoveries toward reproducible, deployable tools. Outside the lab he’s a psychoacoustician and avid board-gamer, suggesting a penchant for complex systems and collaborative problem solving.
