Top SchoolDavid Luu is a Staff Software Engineer in San Jose with 14 years of hands-on experience spanning software/web development, QA automation, systems integration, and technical writing. He specializes in API development and test/task automation, building tools that bridge exploratory testing, CI/CD, and cloud microservices—work that contributed to Mist Systems’ ML-driven wireless and location platform at Juniper. Comfortable oscillating between R&D and production-focused delivery, he has driven testing strategy and automation frameworks at companies like Shutterfly and Vertical Communications, including image/render validation, VoIP/SIP test tooling, and load testing. A pragmatic generalist, he often contributes to open source test tools and maintains a hobbyist dev streak on GitHub, favoring utility and reusability over novelty. His background in technical writing and community support informs clear documentation and mentorship alongside engineering work. Colleagues rely on him for creative, cross-disciplinary solutions when projects require stitching together disparate systems and tools.
