Top SchoolDavid Roman-halliday is a pragmatic data engineering leader with 18 years of technical experience and eight years focused on building and leading data teams to deliver product-led, agile outcomes. He’s led end-to-end data transformations—from on-prem Oracle warehouses to cloud data meshes using Snowflake, BigQuery and DBT—while shipping new revenue-generating products like a data subscription offering. Known for blending hands-on engineering with strategic change management, he drove a post-acquisition integration at Tide and cut Snowflake costs by over $200k annually through platform and process optimisation. He builds high-performing teams through clear governance, L&D and shared benchmarks for assessing engineers and analysts, and recently pivoted to applying that playbook to modernise cricket data at Mustard Systems.
