Top SchoolDavid Simic is a physicist-turned-quantitative trader and technologist with 11 years of experience building data-driven trading strategies, ML systems, and production-grade software. Currently designing quantitative investment strategies and portfolio allocations in digital assets at Polytope Research, he combines prior quant research at Citadel with hands-on DeFi engineering and Solidity smart-contract work. He founded and scaled a healthcare SaaS as CTO, deploying deep learning pipelines and cloud infrastructure that processed 50,000+ imaging exams per month across multiple continents. His background spans theoretical physics (Stanford PhD), machine learning, and full-stack development—linking rigorous quantitative modeling to practical deployment. Notably, he has built automated trading bots, on-chain DEX order-book systems, and complex ML-driven products, reflecting an unusual blend of high-frequency finance, blockchain engineering, and applied AI. Based in Wilmington, Delaware, he brings both research-grade analytics and product-oriented execution to investment and crypto engineering challenges.
