Top SchoolDawn Chan is an MCEPA student at UC San Diego specializing in the political economy of China, bringing eight years of experience across academia and consulting. She holds a BBA in Accounting and Finance and an MA in Philosophy, a combination that informs her research on economic statecraft and sanctions with both quantitative and normative perspectives. Her academic roles at Georgia State University—ranging from graduate instructor to research assistant and WAC consultant—underscore strong communication and pedagogical skills alongside empirical research. Dawn has practical risk transformation experience from an EY internship and early consultancy exposure, signaling comfort with interdisciplinary, policy-adjacent work. She is actively seeking opportunities to deepen data analysis skills and translate policy research into evidence-based insights. A less obvious strength is her international educational footprint—from Hong Kong to Exeter and Singapore—which gives her nuanced comparative perspectives on economic and political systems.
