Portland, Oregon, United States
Summary
👤
SeniorDean Davidson is a Portland-based software engineering consultant with 11 years of experience building full-stack web applications using .NET Core, Go, TypeScript, Angular, and relational databases. As tech lead at Sembit he has delivered PCI-compliant payment gateways, Facets-integrated health insurance systems, and subscription platforms with deep Stripe integrations, often rescuing and stabilizing projects others couldn’t. He favors pragmatic, secure architectures—advocating Stripe over bespoke payment plumbing when appropriate—and combines backend rigor with polished Angular frontends. Outside work he’s a committed mountain biker, a detail that often informs his preference for resilient, maintainable systems designed for rough real-world use.
