Senior🎓
Top SchoolDean Kayton is a Senior Software Engineer based in Dortmund with 13 years of experience building resilient back-end and data systems across startups and research institutions. He excels at taking products from prototype to production—designing fan-in/fan-out pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and blue-green deployments while owning full dev cycles and client-facing delivery. His background spans bioinformatics, vehicular fleet optimization, and time-tracking systems, showing an ability to translate domain complexity into auditable, secure solutions (RBAC/RLS, third-party data audits). Comfortable across Python, FastAPI, AWS, Terraform and containerized deployments, he brings strong DevOps discipline and automated testing culture to teams. Notably, he pairs academic rigor (MEng, NLP study) with hands-on ops work, having maintained research pipelines and production-grade CI/CD in parallel.
