Senior🎓
Top SchoolDean Ting is a Senior Software Engineer based in Singapore with 11 years of hands-on experience building cloud-native, event-driven backend systems. He has driven resilient FaaS and serverless platform features at ByteDance/TikTok—designing multi-AZ disaster architectures, secret management for public FaaS, and billing/usage models that improved observability and autoscaling. His background spans microservices, DynamoDB/Lambda patterns, and high-QPS optimization (including an 80% maximum QPS improvement via runtime changes), plus practical infra automation with Terraform. At Delivery Hero he now applies that expertise to incentive domains, bringing product-focused backend design to growth-stage systems. Known for pragmatic engineering, he blends performance tuning with reliable billing and security design—skills honed across startups, freelancer projects, and large tech firms. He holds a Master’s in Computer Science and uniquely pairs backend systems depth with a history of freelance full-stack problem solving.
