Senior🎓
Top SchoolDebashish Nayak is a senior software engineer based in Bengaluru with 9 years of experience building accessible, high-quality front-end experiences, particularly in vanilla JavaScript and React. At HackerRank he led major initiatives including WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility compliance, migrating legacy interfaces to modern React stacks, adding dark theming, and moving real-time systems from polling to WebSockets to improve scalability and latency. He has deep experience integrating and enhancing web-based IDEs (openvscode-server, che-theia) to match product design systems and improve collaboration and proctoring for technical assessments. Known for a strong UX focus, he pairs practical engineering—static typing, test-suite modernization, CI linting—with product sensibilities and hiring contributions to shape frontend teams. Outside work he’s an “Ace Pokémon Trainer” who channels interests in manga, Japanese culture, and photography into a creative, detail-oriented approach to UI.
