Top SchoolDébora Engelmann is a Senior Software Engineer and Backend AI specialist with a Ph.D. in Computer Science and over a decade of experience building production-grade AI systems and data pipelines. Currently on VTEX’s Agent Experience Platform, she helps architect conversational AI foundations for digital commerce after leading applied multi-agent and generative-AI research at NoHarm.ai. She founded Whispers-ai to solve hospital bed allocation with a SaaS product later folded into clinical deployments, demonstrating a rare blend of product leadership, applied research, and real-world healthcare impact. An academic at heart, Débora taught databases and AI while publishing peer-reviewed work, which informs her pragmatic approach to production engineering and interdisciplinary collaboration with clinicians.
