Senior🎓
Top SchoolDeepak Arora is a Senior Staff Engineer with 25+ years of experience designing and delivering large-scale, distributed mission-critical systems, primarily on the Java platform. He blends hands-on engineering with leadership, having led cross-functional teams and agile release trains at American Express to modernize legacy batch systems into real-time, service-oriented architectures. Deepak is an inventor and open-source maintainer—authoring Amex projects like unify-flowret (a lightweight orchestration engine) and unify-jdocs (a novel JSON document tool)—demonstrating a bias for elegant, simple solutions that can rival costly COTS offerings. Known for translating big-picture strategy into working code while navigating complex stakeholder environments, he keeps a razor-sharp focus on customer value and team growth. Based in Summit, NJ, he brings a rare combination of deep system-design expertise, pragmatic delivery experience across RDBMS and NoSQL ecosystems, and a personal commitment to strong work ethics and people development.
