Top SchoolDenis Lafontant is a full-stack software engineer with 11 years of experience building web applications, APIs, dashboards, and digital products for public institutions and startups. He spent 15 years at the Haiti National Police in progressively technical roles—designing databases, institutional websites, a MOOC, and operational dashboards—before transitioning to remote-first development with Microverse and roles at BairesDev and ArkusNexus. Comfortable across Ruby on Rails, JavaScript frameworks (Vue/React), SQL and testing, he has a proven track record of improving performance and test coverage in production systems. As a Microverse code and project reviewer he’s helped dozens of peers level up their code and professional skills, demonstrating a knack for mentorship and remote collaboration. He also freelances on web, e-learning and branding projects for local organizations, blending technical delivery with design and digital marketing experience. Notably, Denis combines institutional IT leadership with modern remote engineering practices—making him effective at taking projects from concept to maintainable production.
