Top SchoolDenys Zhdanov is a Senior Site Reliability Engineer based in Zaandam with over a decade of professional SRE/DevOps experience and 20+ years of hands-on Linux systems work. He has driven database strategy and migrations at scale—leading CockroachDB adoption, sharded MySQL upgrades, and Cassandra/ScyllaDB initiatives—while modernizing observability stacks from Graphite/Nagios to Prometheus and Grafana. Comfortable across cloud and private infrastructure, he’s implemented solutions using Kubernetes, Terraform, Nomad, Consul and OpenStack for high‑traffic platforms like Marktplaats and Booking.com. Colleagues know him as a pragmatic engineer who pairs deep systems troubleshooting with developer enablement through workshops and documented best practices. An early adopter of newSQL in production, he combines archival low-level Unix expertise with current cloud-native patterns to keep complex services reliable.
