Top SchoolDerek Peacock is an experienced computing lecturer and developer with over 50 years of programming across more than 20 languages and more than 40 years teaching in universities and further education colleges. He has designed curricula and led course development from HNCs to degree-level modules while delivering hands-on modules in Java, C#, ASP.NET Core, MVC, Razor Pages and Blazor. Derek combines deep academic roots (PhD in Plant Biochemistry) with practical systems delivery—building college-wide networks, custom learning and assessment systems, and commercial web applications in ASP.NET MVC. He has repeatedly translated research-grade programming and data work into teachable, industry-relevant modules and grew a Higher National in Computing from single digits to over 160 students. Based in St Albans, he blends longstanding cross-discipline experience with a knack for introducing new technologies into pragmatic teaching and institutional systems.
