Senior🎓
Top SchoolDevaraju Narayanappa is a technical coordinator and climate modelling scientist with 11 years of experience applying mathematical modelling and large-scale Python data analysis to ecosystem–climate interactions. With a PhD in Applied Mathematics, he has driven land–ocean carbon research at institutions including the University of Oslo, CEA, and CSC, and currently splits roles between TerraDT and CSC in Helsinki. His work uniquely spans process-level land surface model development (including dissolved organic matter transport) to porting and running Earth system models on supercomputers, enabling rigorous regional-to-global climate assessments. Colleagues know him for marrying theoretical rigor with practical implementation—translating biogeochemical insights into scalable modelling workflows and reproducible code.
