Top SchoolDevson Butani is a robotics research lab manager and hands-on developer with eight years of industry experience and a decade-long background in robotics, EVs, and industrial 3D printing. He blends mechanical intuition from chassis and powertrain work with software skills in C++, Python, ROS, and embedded NVIDIA Jetson stacks to deliver autonomous systems that perform in harsh, real-world conditions. At SNOWBOTIX he shipped RTOS-to-ROS integrations and hardware-accelerated YOLOv8 perception for offroad AMRs, and at EnvisionTEC he drove process improvements that cut post-processing labor by 90% and achieved 15-micron print accuracy. Currently pursuing an MS in Computer Science focused on deep learning and autonomous driving, he also oversees student research, curriculum design, and campus AV deployments at Lawrence Technological University. Comfortable toggling between CAD, batteries, CAN buses, and neural nets, heโs as likely to spec a battery pack or sheet-metal chassis as he is to optimize sensor fusion for degraded GPS environments.
