Summary
🤩
RockstarDexter Miguel is a founding software engineer with 11 years of hands-on experience building resilient systems across startups and growth-stage companies. He has repeatedly stepped into early-stage roles—helping scale teams, establish CI/CD and testing practices, and authoring architecture and RFCs—most recently founding engineering at Fifth Door after leading platform and principal engineering at PermitFlow. Dexter blends full-stack fluency (React, Node, Go, AWS, Terraform) with a knack for reducing operational risk—examples include shrinking a legacy job from 24 hours to 5 minutes and introducing shadow tracers to enable zero-downtime payment deploys. He mentors engineers, influences hiring and interview processes, and is comfortable shipping everything from game matchmaking backends to critical financial services features. Based in Florida, he brings an entrepreneurial mindset and a track record of turning ambiguous product needs into reliable, observable systems.
