Top SchoolDheryta Jaisinghani is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at the University of Northern Iowa with a decade of experience researching and building real-world networked systems. She specializes in pervasive and ubiquitous computing, large-scale WiFi networks, Internet-of-Things, and mobile computing, grounding her work in in-the-wild deployments and measurements. Her PhD focused on active scans in IEEE 802.11 WLANs, a niche that informs both her experimental approach and systems design. Dheryta’s path from software engineer to postdoc and faculty combines practical industry experience with rigorous academic research, enabling her to translate theory into operational prototypes. Based in Cedar Falls, IA, she brings a hands-on ethos to teaching and research, often demonstrating system behavior outside the lab. Colleagues know her for tackling performance and scale challenges in everyday wireless environments rather than chasing only theoretical gains.
