Top SchoolDiego Castañeda is a Senior Site Reliability Engineer based in Seville with 10 years of experience transitioning from Linux systems administration to DevOps, development, and cloud architecture. He has led SRE efforts at startups and scale-ups, building multi-account AWS infrastructures, IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, Chef), and automation tooling in Python, Ruby, and Bash to drive reliability, security, and cost control. At Flywire and Inspide he combined hands-on engineering with on-call incident response, observability (Honeycomb, Sumo Logic), and backup strategy design to ensure high availability. He’s also run cross-organizational solutions at scale—designing connectivity, DNS and core services for 90+ AWS accounts—and organized AWS Community Day Spain 2024. A manager who still codes, Diego brings pragmatic operational rigor and a long-standing open-source and systems background that informs scalable, secure cloud operations.
