Top SchoolDiego Munoz is an assistant professor and computational astrophysicist with a decade of research experience modeling the formation and dynamics of planetary systems. Trained at Universidad de Chile and Harvard (PhD), he has held postdoctoral and research positions at leading institutions including Northwestern, Cornell, and the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics. His work blends rigorous mathematical modeling, statistical analysis, and production-grade Python and C code to connect theoretical models with observations. At Northern Arizona University he leads research that spans from orbital dynamics to planet formation, building reproducible computational workflows. Colleagues note his uncommon combination of deep theory, hands-on coding, and experience translating complex simulations into testable predictions.
