Top SchoolDima Panov is a seasoned FreeBSD systems engineer with 16 years of hands-on experience across FreeBSD, macOS, Linux, Solaris and Windows environments, currently serving as Senior System Engineer at ITGLOBAL.COM and Senior Engineer at Serenity Cyber Security. He has deep, long-term involvement in the FreeBSD community—as a ports committer, ports security team engineer, and maintainer since the 1990s—regularly contributing to Desktop, KDE, X11 and Office porting efforts. His background spans ISP CTO duties, university and public-health IT administration, and network engineering, giving him a rare blend of carrier-grade networking, billing systems, and secure infrastructure operations. Comfortable both in operational leadership and low-level port maintenance, he often resolves complex cross-platform integration and update issues that others defer. Based in Saint Petersburg, he pairs pragmatic problem-solving with a steady commitment to open-source stewardship.
