Top SchoolDima Statz is a Director of Engineering based in Israel with over 20 years of hands-on experience and a decade in senior leadership, specializing in distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, and AI-driven speech services. He currently leads development of Salesforce AI Speech Services, building production-grade text-to-speech, speech-to-text, translation, and conversational insights at scale. Previously he architected high-throughput video streaming analytics and cloud cybersecurity platforms using Scala, Python, Spark, Kafka, and Kubernetes across Yahoo and Cisco, demonstrating deep operational and data-engineering expertise. Dima’s background spans low-level systems and machine learning—from military-grade embedded systems and virtualization early in his career to modern ML pipelines and AWS/EMR deployments—giving him rare end-to-end technical fluency. He combines people leadership (hiring and managing engineering teams) with frequent hands-on contributions, and he writes about engineering and AI on his blog. Colleagues would note his aptitude for turning complex, high-load problems into reliable, maintainable services.
