Senior🎓
Top SchoolDimo Karaivanov is an Android developer with 9 years of hands-on experience building robust web and mobile systems, blending applied mathematics training with practical engineering. He has delivered complex distributed platforms—real-time WebRTC/Mediasoup servers, scalable Dockerized session distribution with RabbitMQ, and AI-driven trading tools using TypeScript, Python and SageMaker—while also maintaining low-level expertise in SQL, regex and performance-tuned backend services. Currently running an open-source Traditional T9 Android keyboard that revives Nokia-style predictive typing across 25+ languages, he demonstrates a penchant for nostalgic, utility-focused projects. Comfortable across PHP, NodeJS, TypeScript, Java and Python, Dimo favors clear, efficient systems over heavy frontend frameworks and large autogenerated bundles. Known for tackling long SQL queries, building custom media recording pipelines, and creating tooling (ffmpeg/Chromium integrations, packaging scripts, testing suites), he brings a pragmatic, detail-oriented approach to engineering. Located in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, he pairs mathematical rigor with a dislike for bloated frameworks, preferring elegant, maintainable solutions.
