Top SchoolDina Bashkirova is a software engineer and PhD-trained researcher focused on generative models, image translation, and label-efficient learning, with eight years of experience spanning academia and industry. She aims to make generative models more expressive and controllable for artists by developing fine-grained semantic control through disentanglement and domain alignment. Her work includes a CVPR-highlighted sketch-guided image generation project (MaskSketch) from multiple Google research internships and a volumetric CycleGAN for improved semantic consistency in video and volumetric translation. Currently at Google, she also leads applied AI efforts for environmental impact reduction, having developed automated industrial waste-sorting systems in consultancy roles. Dina blends rigorous mathematical training with production-focused engineering, uniquely positioning her to translate cutting-edge research into deployable, sustainability-oriented solutions.
