Top SchoolDino Zovi is a veteran cybersecurity leader and entrepreneur with 13 years of experience building and scaling security programs for high-growth fintech and cloud-native environments. Currently Head of Applied Security Engineering at Block, he previously grew Cash App’s hands-on, engineering-driven security organization from a one-person effort into multiple specialist teams covering platform, product, ML/data, and governance. Dino blends deep technical craftsmanship—having co-founded Trail of Bits and Capsule8 and led advanced engineering projects like SPIFFE-based identity, envelope encryption with AWS KMS and Google Tink, and red-team supply-chain exercises—with pragmatic operational leadership. He’s respected for moving from “I used to hack things” to designing robust protections at scale, advising on Kubernetes, BeyondCorp-style architectures, and custody systems. Based in New York, he pairs a BS in Computer Science with a track record of shipping measurable security outcomes in both startups and large enterprises. His background suggests an unusual mix of offensive expertise, product-minded engineering, and strategic governance.
