Top SchoolDmitrii Makarkin is a Principal Tech Lead and Head of Frontend with 10 years’ experience delivering large-scale web applications, currently leading frontend strategy at Alfa-Bank in St. Petersburg. He specializes in modernizing complex micro-frontend ecosystems—having led a migration to Webpack Module Federation, split a monolithic frontend into granular micro-frontends, and shifted asset delivery to CDN to boost load performance by up to 95%. Dmitrii combines hands-on engineering (React/Redux, Playwright, CI/CD optimization) with people leadership across multiple teams, improving feature lead time and CI test stability substantially. He has a background spanning QA to engineering management at EPAM, giving him a pragmatic, end-to-end perspective on quality and delivery. Notably, he introduced cross-project testing libraries and performance monitoring practices that reduced CI times and improved observability across a 40+ micro-frontend banking app.
