Senior Software Engineer at Python Software Foundation
Valencia, Valencian Community, Spain
Summary
👤
SeniorDmitry Alimov is a Senior Software Engineer with 12+ years building robust Python-centric systems for telecom, cloud communications, interactive TV and security domains. He currently contributes to telephony test frameworks and cloud-native services at RingCentral, bringing deep experience in SIP/RTP, Kafka, Kubernetes and test automation. Dmitry combines low-level debugging skills (C++, gdb, memory leak fixes) with high-productivity Python development—he’s improved test stability and performance across multiple projects and optimized critical OCR and audio-processing pipelines. An active PSF contributor and long-time meetup organizer, he has helped grow and run the largest Python community in Saint Petersburg while engaging Valencia’s Python scene. Less obvious: he pairs production engineering with hands-on CTF security work and has a track record of accelerating CI and test suites to make large distributed systems more reliable.
