Top SchoolDmitry Kabanov is an experienced ML and scientific software engineer with 14 years of hands-on expertise building high-performance Python systems for research and industry, specializing in NumPy/SciPy and TensorFlow 2/Keras. He bridges theory and practice—earning a PhD in applied mathematics while leading code development for physics-informed ML projects at RWTH Aachen and publishing in Q1 journals. Dmitry has delivered production-focused NLP models for mobile document extraction, improved dataset quality and deployment workflows, and boosted team throughput by instituting SLURM multi-GPU scheduling. Comfortable with low-level optimization in C/C++ and MATLAB as well as data tooling like Pandas and SQL, he prioritizes clean, well-tested code and reproducible experiments. Based in Münster, Germany, he combines academic rigor with practical engineering, and often surfaces subtle preprocessing mismatches between research prototypes and deployed apps.
