Top SchoolDmitry Shmakov is a Senior Software Engineer and product-minded technologist with 11 years of experience building user-centric, scalable web applications from first-proof prototypes to production systems. He combines hands-on engineering (React/Node/Postgres/AWS) with product strategy and team-building, having scaled thelighthouse.us from a no-tech offering to a seed-stage SaaS adopted by companies like Uber and MongoDB and later boosted operational metrics at Unqork through performance and process improvements. Known for pragmatic leadership, he improves developer velocity and customer outcomes by aligning roadmaps, establishing observability, and mentoring engineers. A lifelong tinkerer—he wrote his first program from a 5-inch floppy—Dmitry also mentors founders and early engineers and speaks about cross-functional communication and career navigation.
