Senior🎓
Top SchoolDmytro Onypko is a Rust-focused Web3 protocol engineer and systems leader with about 15 years in engineering and a decade of hands-on professional experience, including seven years in tech lead and architect roles. Based in Lisbon, he designs and implements high-performance, distributed blockchain infrastructure—recently implementing IBC v2 for Solana with a Tendermint light client scaled to 100+ validators within Solana compute limits and architecting production relayers like a rewritten Axelar relayer and Hyperlane integration. He blends low-level systems work (custom allocators, performance tuning for mainnet validator sets) with platform and DevOps leadership, having built DevOps practices, desktop Rust expertise, and Terraform-deployed distributed systems. Pragmatic and results-driven, he’s equally comfortable coaching teams and shipping open-source infrastructure, and he brings a playful personal touch—“your average cryptobro with programming socks”—that hints at a hands-on, curious culture fit.
