Top SchoolDohyun Kim is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Brown University with a decade of experience focused on PDE-constrained optimization, particularly topology optimization and bound-preserving postprocessing. He earned a Ph.D. in Computational Science and Engineering from Yonsei University with high distinction and has held postdoctoral roles in Korea and Hong Kong applying advanced numerical methods to applied problems. Dohyun blends deep mathematical training in applied PDEs with practical computational implementation, producing research that tightens theoretical bounds while remaining mindful of real-world constraints. Based in Providence, he brings a rare combination of rigorous analysis and hands-on code development to multi-disciplinary teams tackling optimization-driven engineering challenges.
